Why is China becoming christian.I thin there maybe interesting parrallels with how Rome took on a radical releigion that it repressed and then assimilated.Give it 100 years ..well under and China will become a Christian power.

Christianity began in the East and will ultimately become weighted there again.

I like the idea ( mine thank you    ) that the Carthaginains used the monotheistic religion as an seditious play against their old pantheistic enemy/imperial rulers that then found a rich seam of adherents in the suffering lower middle classes of Rome ( who suffered first and hardest as Rome declined).Christianity rode the decline into supremacy.The vast middle classes ,the  lower MC s, as way of co-opting this powerful new ideology that will replace defunct the capito-socialist past.China , famously  heading towards mediocre average incomes before hitting a demographic wall …will need new the thinking .Religion always flourishes as the decline sets in.Uncertainty ( Pakistan ) and decline ( Afghanistan ) are always  great harbingers of renewed faith .

I like the idea that these kind of abstractive delineations are more a reflection of natural trading areas .So the North just reflects a trading bloc with Arabs , just like Protestantism reflects the North Sea trading area.Different geography equals different group dynamics which require separate political lineages ( religion) .Religion is like the coloured dye and shows up readily and looks like a causitive and not the correlation that it really is.
If this line becomes violently charged through the medium of the ‘dye’ …then I think its just the Gulf middle classes trying to park  their ‘angry’ dollars outside of the AfPak playground.
The attack on the UN comes across as a local outfit bidding for/ or validating its share of  that largesse.

Are Gorillas and Humans in niche situation where he most effective predator for both species is in fact the same specie….ie Humans will be most likely killed by other humans and no other animal.Like wise for Gorillas unlike Bonobos and chimps who have a wide variety of canivorous predator chasing them.

 Could controlling your body state becomes crucial in such confrontations and using the Fronto-Insula to telegraph the inner state to other parts of the brain which can then take corrective social behaviour to prevent early injury or death by one of your own specie members?

Spindle neurons behave like sensory neurons ..one to one ..not quite exactly but similar enough.Telegraphing the body state to other parts of the brain means we can take corrective action to modulate out outer behaviour to placate alpha members of the group.

For a revolution to spread you need a class of under utilized and under valued or unemployed lower middle classes.

Pol Pot knew this and killed  anyone with glasses but i bet his comrades came from that very class.Hitler came from the Lower Middle classes and so did the commnunists in Russia.I can’t narrow down Pol Pot but he was certainly Middle class and unsucessful.The working classes grievances do not travel  or transmute into any radical ideas …but the LMC ( lower middle classes) can and do have the numbers / education  /organisation / leadership potential / discontent  to create ideas with contagion .

Upper middle and middle have too much prestige and assets to consider the turmoil of ‘change’ but their children will dabble with revolution  as a substitute to fighting the overbearing authority of their parents.Once in the slipstream of adult middle classdom they opt out of this foolishness and behave just like their parents.

An industrialized or powerful bureaucratic state will have a  large lower middle class that in corrupt/ failing socieites  will never get a chance to overcome the hurdles of the times….they become the seed bed of revolution.Look at the solid support for religious anti western anger amongst the Lower middle classes inPakistan that is the bedrock of the ambivalence towards the terrorism.They see corruption and collusion of the elites with the West …and no chance for a fair and decent exsistence for themselves….hence the support for any revolutionary ideology such as political Islamism.

Pakistan is not a ferevently religious country…its more  ethnically/caste  divided.Failure of the State and a large lower middle class that sees no future for itself ( accurately ) are the components of the seemingly crazed tendencies of the people.

And that applies through history as well.India was run by a large army of lower middle class Indians for whom a glass ceiling was imposed by the Brits.Their education lent them organisation…their discontent was the vehicle for change.Upper and Elites never want change ….in bad times , the Peasants die …the LMC don’t ….they revolt.

Large states that require more than just elitist Middle classes …tax collecters?( the foot soldiers ..not the regional recipients)..

So obvious point….Revolution requires a State.Is it an intrinsic property that States go through?

I think so.

Is it more pointedly…just the convulsions of an ever increasing productivity cycle.( that itself leads to a State) that causes a LMC to be sustained and created …which itself then lends itself to convulsions when under producing.

I think that its quite clear that cliches ( = learned and repetitve motor patterns ) originate from the cerebellum and not the wernicke/brocas ( execution + semantics)  +  prefrontal lobes ( planning /aim ).

Thats why they are offensive to the intelligent conversationlist.They are less sophisticated and constructed than  a nose picking session.

I have this insight because I use cliches a lot.As for nose picking…no comment.

Neanderthals and Early Humans May Not Have Mingled Much

The article gist is that they vanished quite sharply after human contact.I think it must have been disease .We know that we interbred at some stage and the non-africans share some genes….so why not disease.

Maybe we bred with the Palestinian Neaderthals who already had our germ pool but not the Asian-European ones who lived in a different climate.I wonder if the bones will ever tell the tale of the last ones who lived.

Osama survived so long in a high walled compound for so long because so few knew his exact whereabouts.
The idea that large institutions like the ISI and mega institutions like the Pakistan Army was quietly privvy to his whereabouts and kept it quiet in a country where all communications and electronic data is openly shared with the CIA …..is frankly childish.

The US is using this ocassion to pressurize the Pakistanis over other issues that are related …like support for the Haqqani network .

Similarly,followers of Extremist, Middle Eastern, ISLAM are analogous to AFRICANIZED HONEY BEES in that they both kill/sting relentlessly when disturbed even though it means their own deaths. They also will kill naturalized Honey Bees in territories they compete and will go on Honey Bee JIHAD at the drop of a hat stinging to death anything and everything that lives that interfere with their culture or inadvertently cross their path!

reading about the Meynerts nucleus has a 40% effect on blood flows through the cortex and wondered about how generally the effect of uncontrolled vascular expansion would have on a constrained organ like the brain.

The brain case has to be a snug fit otherwise  internally inducedwhiplash injuries become common….but if the whole brain lit up at the same time…how much would the brain expand by.Too much is my guess and that initself would have to be controlled.

I wonder if in a grand seizure..if there is such an increase in cranial pressure that affects the process of the seizure.
