The more we hold our instincts back ..the more we climb up the scale of ‘group sizes’ in the animal world.If we told each other how we truthfully felt and saw the world..we would have a very small  circle of friends or none and certainly no large societies either.

Our neo-cortex holds us back from acting instinctively and helps us to plan for future ‘possible’ rewards rather than the immediate one in front of us.Is umming and rrrring just an evolutionary step along that process.Our hardware is capable of 60 words per minute( guesstimate..don’t quote me)..but the software needs to walk backwards occasionally until a socially acceptable string of syllables can be co-opted into the stream of communication…just to help preserve group size?

This way of looking at it would see umming as not a language articulatory deficit but an individual’s contribution to the ultimate preservation of group size.

Hows that for a load of waffle.

Vowels are just sounds that bellow from our lower body ( howls from our bowels)
Consonants are the stop sounds from the mouth/tongue/jaw/velum that modify that outward blast.
The more the combinations we can make up , as patterns ( words) that can be discerned ,make up a longer and longer vocabulary.
A and E mix together to make up ” i ” ( aaaaEEEE).
Probably , the early hominids did not have the ability to hear beyond “a” and “e” …they never heard “i”…or differentiate between “t” and “d”….between “f” and “v”…..between “p” and “b”……..”h” and “y” …..”j” and “c” or “k”….
point being…fewer components =smaller vocabulary.
I wonder if we could reconstruct the possible language skills of hominds using this as guide because language did’nt just fall from the skies….it evolved …and it evolved before us.

Accents travel from powerful personalities to weaker ones.  It is social mimmicary that defines a social hierarchy.

Emaple: Friendship groups at school.

The United Nations needs to sort out the latin based languages of our time once and for all. In the digital age that is upon us the use of silent pictorgrams that are at odds with the rest of the alphabet but that are used as if they were part of it. They should either be inducted into the alphabet completely or removed. This will be inevitable.

The middle classes are the most repressed of all the classes. The working classes have less pressure on them to succeed in life because they are at the mercy of the circumstances into which they are born. The upper classes do not need to succeed because they have no incentive; they already have all the security they need. The middle classes are uniquely at the mercy of their own personal choices and vulnerabilities.

Novel writing (which is a mixture of personal fantasy, self-selective and self-biographical narratives) is therapy for the middle classes by the middle classes.
Many novelists are in denial over the inherent purpose of thier writing.

Example: Benjamin Button. Fear of mortality.

French is a slang based language. This is primarily because of the revolution where the peasant classes overturned the education system. They began to teach the French they spoke which was basically joining the first letter of the next word onto the end of the first. In Britain the education system has always been run by the aristocracy and has had no such revolution.

The test for this theory would be that Quebec should have a more distinct sounding end to its words; a formal french style.
