Read about this in an old old issue of Scientific America decades ago.Really old reserach.It was also the basis or buttress to my argument ..that it is the continuity of senses ( within the framework of a consistent and persistent perception of a Newtonian world ) that generates the order within our mind and hence is the cause of the order in our mind ..our quality of consciousness.
It follows ..that once order is introduced ..it can be manipulated..unlike in your dreams or in the state the volunteers were in.As I have argued before…the dream state actually describes the inner energy of the total system ( mind-body ) better than the outwardly affected ‘day’ mind/body.
