Israel marked the start of the Obama election ,to the day , with a war on Gaza and finished it clinically on the day before his inauguration.Ballet.
Obama is a relativley minor leader when it comes to financial means…say as compared to Putin and Belessconi ( who has an out- sized ego…he has little respect for technocrats like Merkel or Obama ) and Obama has few friends..actually has none amonsgt the leaders of the world.
Brown tried his best but alas.Sarkozy tried to belittle him behind his back and has an issue with anyone taller than him.Isreal did’nt even bother trying.Just smile and wait for him to leave office which they expect and hope will be the next election.
But Obama is a Politician and he has a ruthlessly logical mind that makes him seem distant to the American public…he’s not a warm fuzzy feeling Reagan.But….as a corrollory.. he makes good decisons.
I think this problem with Bidens trip will be used by Obama to hang Isreal out to dry.
Two state solution is not on the cards ..that has been made loud and clear by the Isrealis and so has their hatred for Obama.
I think its time for some Chicago style hair dryer treatment for the Isrealis
Obama should use this moment to allow the Israelis to hang their own flowers on this dead horse peace process and walk away from them.he’s not going to get any traction from them…so lets stop pretending they are some kind of strategic ally.Becasue they are in it for themselves….( which may be the right thing for the Isrealis….but lets stop pretending that they have any good will for anyone else…least of all the current US president..whom they have wished only failure..)
