The US administration’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, has said that the Taliban get most of their funding from private benefactors in the Persian Gulf.
I love the way they refer to it as the Persian Gulf when it suits them ( a bad news story about how Gulf Arabs who live in US protectorates funding anti-US activities) and the Arabian Gulf when they want clip Iran’s wing…..i.e your’e not a regional player …that Gulf is an Arab thing.Check the geography maps ..there will be a subtle story of who has printed what label as a political nod to their own allies .
The main story is good news.Looks like the Taliban will have to be negotiated with..they have already shown a willingness to dump the camels….lets see.
